Aaron, it I remember correctly, 1597 was an exception (one more exception), in BN catalogue. In spite of his relatively early catalogue it was issued later, and has originally no deep groove. Anyone confirm ?

That Kenny Burrell isn't an original, there's no deep-groove on the labels.

Also it looks like bobdjukic has quite a few pictures of the Mobley, including the labels which are correct.

Conguero Sabu Martinez's Palo Congo is a unique Blue Note. Recorded in 1957 its Very authentic Cuban music, and quite African sounding, a real Jam. Not as Heavy sounding as the Blakey's Hol for Skins or Orgy in Rhythm sides which I like but find Art too heavy for the company. This is quite a lush record, plenty of Cuban guitar, chanting and obviously shed loads of conga & percussion. Iv'e just skipped through my copy (Jap reissue) :-( and its fantasticlly joyous music and quite timeless, sounds very fresh.Cant believe it was cut in 1957. So to answer your question, indeed get a copy in some format and lose yourself in Sabu's world.
But $800 for an orginal !!!
wow!
