I grabbed a copy of the Red Rodney album on DAD. For those not familiar DAD is an older defunct format that is playable on DVD players. It is high resolution digital(24/96) and I maybe 20 and have enjoyed there sound. This one cost $10, new. So while this DAD is not a collectible nor vinyl, I'd recommend it for the cost to anyone wanting to check out this session. It is a fine session, with the rhythm section stealing it, but Red and Ira playing very well. I got it on Amazon US. It's way cheaper than the OOP cd and way way cheaper than the original. I ordered it before I saw Rudolf's post about the Savoy reissue, otherwise I might have tried to track it down. I do recommend this session in any way you can get it.

this Signal was re-issued twice, the first time on Savoy (MG 12148 entitled "Fiery") and the second time on Onyx. The music is great. With these two rhythm sections you cannot go wrong.

You will discover an exquisite version of “You better go know” on this Signal recording . Don’t know if it justifies the price of the original, but for sure it is priceless music !

Does anyone have this Red Rodney album? I'm very familiar with the three rhythm section players, but only slightly familiar with Red and Ira. I have 2 albums with Ira and one with Red. I see this CD is even very expensive, but I was wondering if this was a great session that I should check out.
