Maybe he is hinting at the fact that the buyer would throw the album into a deep grove due to rage, or maybe the seller found the album in a grove? 🙂

Very interesting that Atomic ignored your emails, Fredrik, as it would indicate that perhaps they were avoiding the inevitable truth of the situation. On the other hand, I find it interesting that the winner of the previous copy specifically mentioned that the record was as described…? Who knows.

No deep groove, of course, Fickle Sonance was never issued with any deep groove. Looks like both seller and buyer ignore of what actually means “deep groove”… beati possidentes

I bought a VG+ Giant Steps black label from the seller Swanstone. I wouldnt really even call it VG. There was heat damage on the second side and it was pretty much unlistenable. I should have known when I was given a second chance offer 5 minutes after the auction ended. I returned it and they relisted with the same listing as when I bought it. Thats ebay I guess

The fact that the description on the McLean’s album mentioned that ‘There is no “EAR”’ made that album a very expensive Liberty pressing.

I returned a warped LP back to Atomic. The record was playable, but in my opinion a warp severely diminishes the value. The record was relisted with the exact same description with no mention of the warp. It has been a while so my memory is fuzzy, but I think it sold for +/- 10% what I had paid. I didn’t follow if the item was relisted again after that.
