Hey! I am the bidder who won the Booker Ervin "Groovin' High" LP for $9.99! The was not much description in the listing so I could not be certain of the pressing but a $10 gamble was an easy call as I wanted the music. The LP arrived today and sounds great - green label pressing - so not a screamin' deal but still worth every penny!

Hi Al: the first pressing came out with a kakubuchi (frame cover) without spine text. The Parent photo cover was dark reddish. The second pressing had the same cover but red to violet, without kakubushi and title and cataloge number printed on the broad spine.
I am almost sure that the first issue (which I sold many years ago) had a non-laminated cover, whereas the 2nd issue has a laminated cover.
Labels: the first pressing had the lemon yellow labels with the angular letter type. The 2nd pressing had a more ochre yellow and the more round letter type one would later find on e.g. 7061, 7079, just to name some easily available catalogue numbers.

Hi, Rudolf. What do you mean by original second pressing? Did that LP come out with another cover at one point? If so, I don't recall ever seeing it.
