15 years ago I purchased the Paich/Pepper for $130 – it arrived in the mail broken – it was insured so no money lost, but every time I see it go for higher & higher prices, my gut turns over!

Actually I see it sold for US$2000 last year and US1425 in 2008, but definitely at the higher end of the price it usually fetches

My white Riverside are UK labels at first I thought Decca, but on reading LJC label guide the writing on the record is handwritten and pressed by a unbranded subcontractor is this version still collectable? also What is a smoking press?

I’m curious about this description for the vinyl in the 1559: “…some very minor marks and scratches probably sleeves marks.Nothing that will affect the quality of the sound,no popping or skipping.”

the use of “nothing that will effect the quality of play” would imply that the seller hasn’t played it; but then how would he know there is “no popping or skipping”?

I’m often mystified by the descriptions on ebay
