Records in the Emarcy 36000 series are often advertised as first pressings when they are not. It can be hard to detect because there are several label variations: Large drummer, small drummer, silver rim, no rim. The Helen Merrill album have large drummer and silver rim. Sorry for non related comment … I have been watching a NM copy of Dorham at Cafe Bohemia – quite on top of my wish list.

The seller is claiming this to be DG whereas the picture clearly shows no DG. Moreover the cover does not seem to have a “frame” although the adress on the back cover is Lexington Ave… What pressing year would you guess it is? Thanks for your comments

I noticed a Blue Note 4003 Original without the “R” for $199, VG+ record and cover, the cover “back” looked over graded though. So take the record grade with caution.

I found 4003 at a local shop for $29.99, I was giddy with excitement. 4003 has come down in price.
