Good news everyone… I listed Bohemia After Dark featuring Julian “Cannonball” Adderly my with Horace Silver, Paul Chambers, Donald Byrd, Nat Adderly, Jerome Richardson, and Kenny Clark, Leader (Savoy. MG 12017) on eBay with bidding starting at $250 and got an offer in the first hour, moving me into the $300 bin. Excited and impetuous, I’m ready to take it. But this is a bid right? Bidding doesn’t end for another 48 hrs. Be patient right? I love the album cover and would love to hear the session with these jazz giants. As the liner notes read “Very few re-takes were made, because the spirited session seemed to ‘take right off’ and stay that way” but alas, as the LP is sealed, its not meant for me to be but only for the lucky buyer only…
One album I am enjoying immensely is Green Street featuring Grant Green, Ben Tucker, bass Dave Bailey, drums. Blue Note, 4071 (blue/white label, 43 West 61st Street). I haven’t listed on eBay because it is not sealed, and cover VG+. The album itself is VG++ and my whole family is enjoying listening to it as I’ve been playing the LP non-stop. Grant’s trio does a superb version of ‘Round About Midnight. Not veering away from the tune keeping it close to Miles Davis but just adding a little twist to lemon. Beautiful! Not for sale

The Return Of Art Pepper – Jazz West JWLP-10

My copy is a original copy, but a bit on the rough side , still very playable.

Burns might not have been a deal. Just about every record for the Burns seller is graded NM. Little suspicious. The Burns also appears to have been sold and returned since Oct 20 if you check the seller’s previous sales.

the cover with rollins horizontal is a visual war crime, if you ask me.

I have the same 1542 Rollins with Lex/Lex lbls and 63rd adress on cover. The cover has Rollins in vertical position.
I had a second issue 47W63rd labels and 61st adress on cover. This one had Rollins horizontal.
