Al,all this begs the following question-Does your “heads up” reporting of these errors help those readers/potential bidders by pointing us in the right direction,or just ensure that the fiekd may become more crowded? (Who among us hasn’t relished a win due to an error in a listing?) And,of course,if you’re trying to score an lp at a reasonable price a ‘crowd’ is the LAST thing you want! More importantly,how does it work when YOU mention something you’d like to bid on “that’s ending soon” only to be outbid at the last second by a reader of The Jazz Collector? I don’t know that it’s happened,but why wouldn’t it? What’s your take on it? Ah..”Ethics,Existentialism and The Art of Record Collecting:The Futility of Fullfillment”. Sounds like a 3-credit course to me-Professor?

The sellers of the Sonny Clarke (sic) LP were the same ones who got (a new high I believe) $2011 for Hank Mobley 1550 in spite of sparse detail/photos, plus a few other +$1000 bin BNs, inc a VG++ copy of Sonny’s Crib @ $1026. Some may not have quite reached the maxed out prices of late due to a listing heading such as “SONNY CLARK LP Sonny’s Crib Blue Note DG mono nyc”, i.e. stating ‘nyc’ instead of ’47W63′; I nearly skipped past them for that reason.
