Clifford – Yes, I believe the yellow cover is the second issue. A shop in LA last year had the yellow cover version for sale for $500…too rich for my blood for a second issue.

Bill – Condition goes a long way my friend…It helps as a seller to have a good reputation. I’ve sold on eBay under waxcabinet and some higher end LPs (Hank Mobley 1568, Horace Us 3, Sonny Clark on Time, just to name a few), and seem to have built a good reputation to get on the higher end of the scale. I don’t sell much any more…mostly cause I want to collect and keep what I have…I’ve sold some off line to some folks, but would much rather trade!

I sold the exact same Paich lp on Ebay a few months ago and only got $227. The condition was a notch below this one. It goes to show how important condition is in when selling lps. An excellent established reputation as a seller goes a long way as well.

That Marty Paich cover reminds me of how much I love session photos, a lost trend that could use a second chance. It really brings the artists to life.
