I have two signed by Rollins similar to your description, signed boldly in black marker, across the entire LP jacket. One is addressed like this: "To Reiko, Undying Love, Sonny," and dated 1973. Reiko operated a jazz club in Kyoto, which is where many of my signed LPs came from. I have another signed "Thelonious," in green marker, all across the back of a Monk album. Sad to hear these may not fetch as much as I had imagined they might.

I have a copy of Hot Discography intact except for cover. It was autographed by Louis. I brought it to him while he was playing at East Carolina University in Greenville, N. C. At the time, I was a newscaster for WITN-TV in Washington,
N.C. (since moved to Greenville). I was doing an interview with Louis (not Louie) at the time. I'm 87 now and with a
bunch of senior citizen physical problems. My family is not interested so, I would like to sell the book to someone who would appreciate it. Thankx.

Ron, I think the only way to really know what it's going for is to put it on eBay and find out. If you're concerned about selling it for a low price, you can always put a reserve on it, although I'm not a big fan of reserves and, apparently, neither are some of our other Jazz Collectors, based on comments on previous posts.

I for one don't care for some messy autographs on the art sleeve. I consider autographs on an art cover to be rather a negative point. In the end what does it prove?
