Love all the podcasts so far. While waiting today for the Hurricane Idalia, they give me some relaxation time. I was thinking of some other theme podcasts you could do:
Musicians who died too young, Female jazz musicians, ex. My brother who was married in Detroit in 1966, had Dorothy Ashby play at his wedding.
I’m sure you can come up with more ideas.
Just want to note that I’ve listened to the first two shows now in their entirety and have enjoyed them immensely. Even my wife, who only has a mild interest in jazz, enjoyed them on a recent car trip. I really liked the anecdotes about your father and his record collection and how that led to your interest in jazz. I very much look forward to digging into the other episodes as soon as possible!
