I loved me that Swingville label. Jazz Record Mart had a swath of the titles at budget prices around the late ‘60’s/early 70’s. For a new comer as myself with a minuscule allowance to provide for such lp purchases, I loved them bargains and cut outs.

Just stumbled upon this site when looking up some old Blue Note LP catalog numbers. Found the article referencing Duke Jordan's Flight to Jordan very interesting. I wish I had the capital to bid on some of these original releases but will need to settle on re-issues. I'm glad that Bruce Lundvall opened up the vaults and Don Was (home town guy as I am also a born and breed Detroiter) kept up the tradition. I am fortune that there are many used LP stores in the area where I can occasionally find a diamond in the rough.

I will be visiting this site often. Keep it Jazzy.
