Strange indeed. "RE" in the deadwax indicates "re-cut" and this definitely should have RVG but no "P"/"ear" AFAIK. Can you post a link to a clear photo of the label?

I have this record. Maybe one of you can solve the mystery of what's in the dead wax? 446 W. 50th St., NYC on Yellow Fireworks label both sides, flat edge, reverse of album cover also 446 West 50th St., New York 19, N.Y.

Here is the interesting part. Dead wax side A reads PRLP 7035-1 (A) S-49482 RE-1

Side B reads PRLP 7035-1 (B) S-49483 RE-1

Both sides have a squiggle which I suppose is the ear or P. No RVG marks on either side.

No obvious Deep Groove like I am used to. Both sides do have a groove only a half inch from the spindle hole. This is not from a needle as the printing covers the groove and the printing is not worn away at all.

What is the S-49482 and RE-1 numbers about? Has anyone else seen a deep groove this close to the spindle?
