I have a couple of Hardee bluenotes that I payed £8 each for, that might be £12 or there abouts, but that album has to be rare!
In this country anyway (uk) albums of jazz 78s like that are very hard to come by. I have about 14 thousand 78s, maybe 10 or 12 jazz album sets like that one. I do think the $100 is a bit over-priced but it doesn’t show often surely and the music’s really good!

I have two collections 100 records each from THE FRANKLIN MINT, one of THE GREATEST RECORDINGS OF THE BIG BAND ERA and another also 100 LPS of the GREATEST JAZZ RECORDINGS. Can you give me an idea of the approximate cost of the collection?

Records have very little use and most of them are in the original sealed boxes.

Not a heavy hitter in terms of $$$ but Listening to Sidney Bechet BN 1201, 161 Lexington Ave.
Not heard this for quite some time and I really enjoyed it again after all these years.
Most of you probably have this. Give it a spin.

The Fabulous Slide Hampton Quartet is wonderful, and rather free at times.

I’ve not heard Exodus or really seen a copy other than the one Christophe was selling.

Does anyone use any other auction sites than eBay? I know Yahoo auctions is big in Japan but I haven’t dipped my toes in yet.

Some of the early French Philips titles have very thin, delicate, silk-screened covers. Barney Wilen’s Jazz Sur Seine as a first press is one example. Getting those covers in nice condition is very hard.

The seller of the Slide Hampton had two up on eBay, the one you have listed above and another called “The Fabulous Slide Hampton Quartet” which was an original French pressing. I never heard those before and I happen to like Slide Hampton a lot. They are on my want list now!
