Another great reason to collect Jazz... Fine art within our reach, and it even comes complete with it's own soundtract !!! (Can't get that at Sotheby's) While we are on the subject, lets not forget other notable artists like Andy Warhol, Joan Miro, Phil Hays, Edmond Edwards, David Stone Martin etc. etc. etc.

Beyond our treasured Blue Note cover photos by Francis Wolff, I always enjoyed David Stone Martin's stuff... Here's a decent cross-section of his work if anyone is interested:

...That's a tough call Japhy. It's always hard for us collectors to part with those rare ones. Besides, the music on this LP alone makes it well worth holding on to for awhile. I hate to admit it, but I even had downloaded a copy off itunes recently for the drive to work…

Maarten: I agree with you, Don Martin is gorgeous. I dig him.
Apart from the ones you mention (7022-the Brothers; 7023-Trombone by 3; 7024-Stiit/Powell/J.J. and 7025-M.D. and Horns, there is
PrLp 7031 - Art Farmer Septet, which a nice D. Martin cover.
That is all, I am afraid.
