The reason to buy these records is the cover art. In the decades to come, covers like the Rollins here and the KD on Debut will be regarded as high art. Take the two Horace Silver 10″ on BN. You get both records on the 12″, which has a nice cover, but the composition of the 10″ covers(side by side, framed) is incomparable. I don’t have $500 for a 10″ record, but these were a great, great buy. Congratulations.

I bought my first ever 10″ just the other week. My, doesn’t time fly on a 10″. Miles Davis All Stars with Monk (Bags Broove/ Swing Spring)

Very odd – sounds like Miles and Monk fell out during the session. It starts, and then its over.

Made me appreciate what it must have been like to hear your first 12″ microgroove, twenty minutes a side, magic.

Re 10″: what I love about them is that they epitomize a very short lived epoch in jazz history, say some two to three years.

“304 Park Avenue South” was the less well-known address of Blue Note Records in 1957? Or Scorpio digital to vinyl transfer production.

I think we need a “Hall of Imfamy”
to add this artless confidence trick to. I’m watching to see if there is anyone gullible enough…
but I suspect not.
