Walter Davis Jr., Davis Cup, Blue Note 4018. This looks to be an original pressing listed in M- condition for both the record and the cover. The auction closes later today and so far there are no bidders at a start price of about $750. I would expect this one to sell, wouldn’t you?

This seller has a lot of nice items on eBay this week, including Art Blakey, A Night at Birdland Volume 2, Blue Note 1522. This looks to be an original Lexington Avenue pressing in M- condition for the record and VG+ for the cover. The start price is $350 with no bidders so far. There is also a buy-it-now price of $700.

Here are a couple more Blue Notes that sold over the weekend:

Dexter Gordon, A Swingin’Affair, Blue Note 4133. This was an original mono pressing listed in M- condition for the record and the cover. It sold for $498.89.

From the same seller there was Sonny Rollins, Newk’s Time, Blue Note 4001. This was also an original pressing in M- condition for the record and the cover. It sold for $673.89.

Hank Mobley, No Room For Squares, Blue Note 4149. This looks to be an original pressing, with the New York USA label and the ear, and it is listed in M- condition for the record and what looks to be VG++ for the cover. You may recall that a recent copy of this record sold for $1,009. I’m sure the seller here, Atomic Records, noticed as well. This one is currently in the $130 range but has yet to meet the seller’s reserve price.

Sonny Clark, Dial S For Sonny, Blue Note 1570. This is an original pressing with the West 63rd label, deep groove, etc., and it is listed in VG+ condition for both the record and the cover. The current price is around $425 and there is still one day left on the auction.

This one doesn’t usually go for a big price, but it is in nice condition and it is a promo copy (it’s also a fantastic record, musically): John Coltrane, Live at Birdland, Impulse 50. This has the white promo label and is listed in M- condition for both the record and the cover. It has one bid, but the price is $198.

This one is a beauty and it still has a few days to go: Lester Young, The President Plays with the Oscar Peterson Trio, Norgran 1054. This has a great cover by David Stone Martin and it is an original yellow-label pressing in M- condition for both the record and the cover. It is currently in the $75 range, with lots of time to go.

Chet Baker Sings, Pacific Jazz 1222. This is an original pressing, also with a terrific cover, and it looks to be in VG++ condition for both the record and the cover. It has a couple of days to go and is in the price range of $90.

Art Blakey, A Night at Birdland Volume 3, Blue Note 5039. This is an original 10-inch LP in M- condition. The current price is $235.50. Another Blue Note is Horace Parlan, Up and Down, Blue Note 4082. This is a New York USA pressing

and is listed in VG+ condition, both the record and cover. The current price is about $35. 

Monica Zetterlund, Waltz for Debby, Phillips 08222. This is an original Swedish pressing of this great LP featuring Bill Evans on piano. The vinyl looks to be in VG+ condition and the cover M-. The current price is  $271. 

The seller Atomic Records has a few nice items, including Herbie Hancock, Inventions & Dimensions, Blue Note 84147. This is an original stereo pressing with the New York USA label. The record is listed as M- and the cover looks to be a strong VG+. The current price is $150. 

Finally, this seller based in Germany, Classics-and-jazz, has several nice items closing within the next day, including Kenny Dorham, Whistle Stop, Blue Note 4063. This is an original West 63rd Street pressing. The record is listed as M- and the cover as VG++. The current price is $152. From the same seller is one of our favorite LPs, Sheila Jordan, Portrait of Sheila, Blue Note 9003. This is an original pressing. The record is listed as M- and the cover is VG+. The price is only $21.50 as of now.
