I think the autograph doesn’t add that much to the value in most cases. But it was an authenticated Bird autograph, or, as we’ve seen on the site, a Clifford Brown, then that makes a big difference. If you click on the Autographs section under Categories to the right on the site, you can see some of the past articles we’ve done on autographs.

I lucked upon a number of lps at a yard sale owned by a former president of the Hartford Jazz Society. I would have bought the lps (Shirley Scott, Ted Curson, etc.) regardless, the fact they signed was just a bonus.
