As I was going through my 10 inch lp’s I happened to look up Bud Shank on Wiki, and found that 2026 is also his 100th birthday. I remember him primarily as he teamed up with Bob Brookmeyer on several recordings.
I was fortunate to hear and meet Sonny Rollins at our Clearwater Jazz Holiday in 1988.
